Giving Back with Big Group Hug

Working closely with Oliver Hume Property Group as part of our shared commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact within the communities we serve, Oliver Hume Property Funds recently delivered a fantastic collection of donated items to the Big Group Hug warehouse in Thomastown.
Big Group Hug provides essential items such as clothing, toys, books, baby equipment and household necessities to vulnerable children and families across Victoria. Seeing the scale of their work and the direct impact these donations have on local families was both inspiring and humbling.
A huge thank you to all staff members who contributed to the charity drive. Your generosity and willingness to support families in need made this initiative a success. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and their families.
The impact of Big Group Hug continues to grow. Last year, the organisation assisted more than 7,700 families, and this year alone has already supported over 8,300 families. Despite this incredible achievement, more than 300 families remain on the waiting list, highlighting the ongoing need for community support and the important role that organisations, businesses and individuals can play in helping those doing it tough.
This initiative reflects the broader Oliver Hume Property Group approach to community, where creating long-term value extends beyond the built environment to the people and places that bring each development to life. By investing in people, partnerships and local initiatives, we contribute to stronger, more connected and inclusive communities.
